Letter From Dinny

Another season beckons and, due to the re-organisation of the National Leagues, we find ourselves in Division 5 (South West) alongside many of our adversaries from the 2002/3 season.

Terry COOKSLEY has been appointed as the club's head coach for the coming campaign and he will be assisted by Gary EVANS (ex Aberavon Quins) and a pool of others including myself, Tony COOKSLEY, Darren WILLIAMS, Paddy O'CALLAGHAN, Steve REES, Terry McGRATH and Shane BARRY. Chris O'CALLAGHAN will continue in his role of Director of Rugby and the 1st XV, and the captain will be Darren WILLIAMS.

We intend to leave no stone unturned to bring the club to some long overdue success on the field of play, and to further build on last seasons improvement. However we also place great emphasis on creating an environment where player's can flourish, and to this end a diverse and exiting social programme will run throughout the season NO COACH OR PLAYER WILL RECEIVE PAYMENT but the clubs now customary hospitality after matches will continue.

Ultimately we are seeking players who wear their 'heart on their sleeve' and passionately want to play for our proud and famous badge, but also know how to enjoy themselves and have a bit of a craic!

We hope that you want to be part of something special and look forward to your full support and commitment over the next 10 months.

Yours Sincerely,

John D. O'CALLAGHAN
